Biography

Inna, born Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu, was born on 16 October 1986 in Mangalia, Romania, and raised in the nearby town of Neptun.

She showed singing talent from a young age. Her musical career took off with the release of her first single, Hot, on 12 October 2008. The dance track was an immediate hit, reaching number one in eight countries in 2008 and then spreading worldwide in 2009. Another single from her debut album, Love, enjoyed similar success.

Regarded as one of the most exciting voices on the dance scene, Inna followed with international hits like Sun Is Up and Déjà Vu, topping charts in numerous countries from Romania to Japan, including Mexico, Turkey, Argentina, Spain, Finland, Poland and the United States.

The “queen of dance music” has collaborated with many top international artists, such as Pitbull, Flo Rida, Daddy Yankee, Timmy Trumpet, Juan Magán, J Balvin, Yandel, Alok & Sofi Tukker, and Sean Paul on the track Up, which became a global hit.

Her musical talent, style and choreography have earned her multiple awards, including MTV Europe Awards, Romanian Music Awards and RRA Awards. In 2012 she became the first and only European female artist to surpass one billion views on YouTube, a milestone she has far exceeded, reaching 10 billion views and streams in 2022.

The year 2023 marked a new chapter with a collaboration with Dhurata Dora and Stefflon Don on the track Yummy. She also released a new edition of her album “Dance Queen’s House” titled Just Dance, which pursues a bold, renewed artistic direction.
