Alex Megane

Biography

Alex Megane, born Axel Jäger, is a German DJ and producer active in the trance, techno and house scenes.

He began with the project Cosmic Culture, founded with Thomas Jahnke. Their first track, Our Future, released in 2003, was immediately supported by DJs such as Blank & Jones, ATB, Woody van Eyden and DJ Shog. Success was confirmed with the following single, Oceans, voted “Tune Of The Month” in 2005 by specialist magazines in Germany and the United Kingdom.

In early 2004 he started a solo career: his first single, So Today, entered dance charts across Europe and reached the Top 10, becoming the most played track on Swedish radio. Subsequent singles, Hurricane (released February 2005) and Little Lies, reached the Top 5 of the dance charts.

At the same time he launched the project Alex M. vs. Marc van Damme with Marc Van Damme; their first track, Technodisco, became one of the most played club tracks in 2004. He also gained recognition for remixes for international artists such as Kate Ryan, Cascada, DJ Dean, Klubbingman and DJ Shog.

The year 2005 brought new collaborations: he produced the debut album of the Swedish group DYCE and worked with Murphy Brown, whose single reached 13th in official sales in Finland. He also initiated his first house projects under the names ALEX M. and SILVER STAR, which immediately entered the dance charts; his new “Alex M.” style earned remix requests for Lazard, Rob Mayth and Verano.

Highly in demand as a DJ, after a tour in Australia where he appears on the compilation “Ultimate Trance Volume 3”, new dates are scheduled in Austria, Poland, Italy and Germany.
