
Rob Mayth
Biography
Rob Mayth, born Robin Brandes, is a German electronic music producer born in Hagen on 5 February 1984.
Raised in a musically engaged family, he began piano at age eight but truly found his calling with the keyboard.
In 1996 he started producing with software such as Dance Machine and Magic Music Maker, later turning to the sequencer Fruity Loops.
He initially produced Thunderdome and Melodic-Hardcore tracks. From 2001 he released his work on platforms like MyOwnMusic (formerly gtmusic.de) and Virtual-Volume, reaching a wider audience and gaining feedback to improve his productions.
After several unsuccessful approaches to labels, his career shifted when he met producer Waveliner; their collaboration as Waveliner vs. Rob Mayth yielded hits in the German electronic scene, notably Harder Than Ever and Children Of XTC, which charted in clubs.
Known as a remixer, Rob Mayth has reworked tracks for major acts such as Special D., Cascada, Groove Coverage, Sven-R-G vs. Bass-T, Rocco and Angel City, becoming one of the most requested remixers; his productions and remixes regularly appear on major international compilations.
He has also been behind numerous projects and aliases, including Active One, Aunt Mary, Chasing, Dave Darell, Elektrofachgeschäft, Elektrofachmarkt, Katie Jewels, Pimp! Code, Red Light District, RMFB, Spread 'N' Lick, Straight Flush and Azora.
He is also a DJ and has performed in many countries worldwide, including Japan (Tokyo), the United States (Chicago), France, Slovenia and Poland.
