Biography
Niles Hollowell-Dhar, known as KSHMR, is a prominent figure in electronic music. Based in Berkeley, California, he rose on the EDM scene from 2013 after leaving the indie-pop duo The Cataracs.
His first major hit was Megalodon, released in early 2014. He has also contributed to compositions for producers such as Borgeous and Dvbbs; most of his own productions are released on the Spinnin’ Records label.
He gained further recognition with the single Burn, a collaboration with DallasK that reached the Top 40 and later number one on Beatport; the track was distributed via Revealed Recordings, Spinnin’ Records and Ultra Records.
His identity was revealed to the public at the Ultra Music Festival by Tiësto. The collaboration Secrets with Tiësto and Vassy became a major EDM hit, also topping Beatport.
Other Beatport-charting tracks include No Heroes, Dead Mans Hand, Kashmir, Dogs and Karate.
