Biography
Clara Yates, full name Clara Louise Yates, is a trance-focused singer, songwriter and DJ. Born in Chessington, Surrey (United Kingdom), she is now based in Melbourne, Australia.
An IDMA (International Dance Miami Awards) nominee, she was also nominated for “Best Female Trance Artist” in 2020. She is particularly known for collaborations with Giuseppe Ottaviani, Jorn van Deynhoven, Darren Porter, Talla 2XLC, Reorder, Ferry Tayle, Ashley Wallbridge, Somna, Ronski Speed, NASH, DJ LTN, Denis Kenzo and Alexander Popov, among others.
She is also often paired with NASH around “The Green Room”. The duo have released a number of covers, including songs associated with Avicii, Guns N’ Roses and Placebo. The latest cover mentioned is Zombie, featuring Giuseppe Ottaviani on drums. Clara frames these “The Green Room” covers as a way to showcase artists’ “true” musical talent, bringing things back to basics through the use of instruments.
