Biography
Sean Ryan, born Sean Ryan Holden, is an American singer, songwriter, and electronic music DJ, born on September 10, 1989. Inspired by artists such as Justine Suissa and Zoë Johnston, he began his career in 2009 with his first vocal performance on the deep house track Hollow (remixed by Robert Babicz), featured on Pete Tong's Essential Selection show. His breakthrough in trance came in 2010 with the collaboration Come Into My World (with Nitrous Oxide) on the Anjunabeats Dreamcatcher compilation, marking his first co-writing credit.
He gained further recognition through collaborations with ATB on the tracks Killing Me Inside (2011) and When It Ends It Starts Again. His track I Am (with A.R.D.I.) was premiered on Armin Van Buuren A State Of Trance (ASOT 1009) and appears on the A State Of Trance Year Mix 2021. Burning Flame (with Dennis Sheperd) made it into the A State Of Trance Top 20 – 2021, Vol. 2, while Side Road (2022, with Ghost Etiquette and Reorder) spent several weeks in the Beatport Top 100 Trance charts.
His other collaborations include Gabriel & Dresden, Key Lean, Somna, and Stoneface & Terminal, and his works have been remixed by artists such as Colonial One and Dan Stone.
