Jeffrey Sutorius

Biography

Jeffrey Sutorius is a Dutch DJ and producer, born on 8 November 1979 in The Hague. He is best known for being the frontman of the electronic music group Dash Berlin from 2007 to May 2018, and again briefly from June 2019 to March 2021.

He grew up in a family with a strong passion for music. His father, an accomplished drummer in a jazz band, taught him drums at a very young age. As a teenager, his sister introduced him to electronic music, which led him to develop his own mixing and production style.

He began his career performing under the aliases DJ Toxic and Jeff Bounce, notably playing at Loveparade and Defqon.1. His sound focuses on emotional, energizing dance music, a style he has refined over the years.

As a former member of Dash Berlin, he achieved significant international success. He won the IDMA award for Best High Energy Track in 2009 and was voted Highest New Entry in the DJ Mag Top 100 in 2010, becoming the highest Dutch new entry at the time, ahead of artists such as Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren and Tiësto. He later ranked seventh in 2012 and stayed in the Top 20 of the poll for eight years.

He has headlined major festivals including Ultra, EDC, Sensation, AMF, Mayday and A State Of Trance. For the past eight years, he has also been a resident DJ at Marquee in Las Vegas.

In 2019, he founded his own digital label, BODYWRMR, marking a new step in his solo career.
