J.K.

J.K.

Biography

J.K. is an Italian eurodance project created and produced by Larry Pignagnoli and Davide Riva, the production team already known for hits such as Whigfield. The main vocals on the early tracks were provided by Jenny Bersola (also known as Giovanna Bersola or Jenny B.), while the Polish model Marta Simlat performed lip-syncing for live appearances and videos.

The first single, You Make Me Feel Good (1993), brought quick success, reaching number one in Canada and charting in France, Germany, Spain, Italy and other European countries. The follow-up singles Beat It and You & I (1994) continued this success.

The fourth single, My Radio, conquered the European market and opened the way to Japan. Later, Sweet Lady Night (1996) and Go On (1998) were performed by Zeeteah Massiah, while most other tracks, notably My Radio, Deep In The Night (1999) and You Got Me Dancing (2000), were sung by Sandy Chambers.

Composer Annerley Gordon (also known as Ann Lee) is credited on some songs. In 2001 the project was taken over by Alle Benassi, who produced the singles Make Me Feel (2001) and Hit My Heart (2002), featuring vocals by Dhany (Daniela Galli).
