Fragma

Biography

Fragma, also known as Fragma Project, is a German house and trance group founded in 1998 by brothers Dirk Duderstadt and Marco Duderstadt.

Their first single, Toca Me, produced in collaboration with producer Ramon Zenker, was released in 1999. It achieved international success, reaching number one on several dance charts and peaking at number 11 on the UK singles chart.

In 2000 a mash-up combining Toca Me with the vocals of I Need A Miracle by Coco created Toca's Miracle. Backed by influential DJs such as Pete Tong and Judge Jules, and because Fragma and Coco shared the same label (Positiva), the track was officially released and reached number one in the United Kingdom, Australia and Ireland.

In 2001 they released their debut album, Toca, along with two further singles: Everytime You Need Me, featuring the vocals of Maria Rubia, which reached No. 3 in the UK, and You Are Alive, sung by Damae, which reached No. 4.

In 2002 the brothers founded their own studio, Evergreen-Terrace, and Fragma began collaborating permanently with singer Damae. Their second album, Embrace, was released that year and includes singles such as Say That You're Here (UK No. 25), Embrace Me, Man In The Moon and Time And Time Again.

Alongside Fragma, the Duderstadt brothers also work as a duo under their family name, Duderstadt. They have released several singles under that name, including Sunrise, Taking Over and Mahananda. Their latest production, Smile, was made with Anita Kelsey and received remixes from artists such as Alex M.O.R.P.H. and Duende.
