Fergie
Biography
Robert Ferguson, known professionally as Fergie, is a Northern Irish DJ and electronic music artist from Larne.
His international career as a DJ and producer spans over twenty years. He hosted a radio show on BBC Radio 1 for over four years and recorded thirteen Essential Mixes for the station.
He was a consistent presence in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll for seven consecutive years and holds the record for the highest new entry since the poll’s inception, achieved when he was ranked 8th in the year 2000.
He made a major comeback in 2021, driven by the growing popularity of the Techno Trance genre, leading to his signing with the Dutch label Armada Music. Since then, he has had a string of hits played by many DJs worldwide, such as Alpha Centauri, Time, and Muzik, all released on Armind, the sub-label of Armin Van Buuren and Armada Music.
A DJ since his teens, he became one of the first true superstar DJs, an award-winning producer and remixer, a label owner, and a pioneer of electronic music. He runs the Excentric Muzik label.
In 2012, he began a new chapter by leaving Europe to settle in Las Vegas. This bold move was accompanied by a new sound and reinvention. He secured three prestigious DJ residencies in the United States: at the Wet Republic pool party, at the HQ Nightclub in Atlantic City, and, starting in the spring of that year, at the new Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub.
He is also known under the aliases Fergie and Fergie, as well as by his civil name, Robert Ferguson (2).
