DJ Cap
Biography
Jens Remscheidt is the real name behind DJ Cap, a songwriter, DJ and producer from Iserlohn near Hagen.
His musical path started early: for his third birthday his parents gave him a keyboard, marking the beginning of his career. In his youth he played in a school band, performing on keyboard, later guitar, and singing rock covers.
He began DJing at birthday parties, discovered a passion for dance music and built his own studio. After learning studio work, especially vocal production, he uploaded his productions to social networks.
In 2007 the vocalist of Rednex, Scarlet, contacted him and they worked together on vocal production. Notable contributions include I turned to you, All the things she said, vocals for Crystal Lake tracks and live playbacks for Jan Wayne shows.
His first release was E-strella on Global Airbeatz; he became a close friend of DJ Gollum. His second release appeared on DDR-Records as Fever, followed by We only ask.
In 2012 he started a collaboration with DJ Gollum billed as “DJ Gollum feat. DJ Cap”. Together they released the Technobase.fm hymn Don't look back, then Handz Up isn't dead (8-years Technobase.fm-Hymn) and Good Stuff. The duo never did cover versions; their new single I've got the key was written by them.
His trademark is the cap he always wears. This is DJ CAP.
