Aly

Aly, born Aly Amr Fathalah, is an Egyptian producer and DJ, best known as one of the two members of the trance duo Aly & Fila, formed with Fadi Wassef Naguib; together they are considered the most important act to emerge from Egypt’s electronic scene.

Their music, an energetic and spiritual trance, allowed them to build a huge, loyal fanbase in Egypt before reaching a global audience; their sound, sometimes described as ‘sonic sandstorms’, and their sharp productions have taken them to the most renowned clubs and major international festivals such as EDC in Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Global Gathering and Stereosonic.

The duo also spreads its universe through its weekly radio show Future Sound of Egypt, which helps carry their message worldwide; their success has been confirmed by prestigious accolades, notably on the show A State of Trance by Armin Van Buuren.

In autumn 2020, Aly & Fila released the long-awaited single Somebody Loves in collaboration with singer Plumb; the track was voted ‘Track Of The Year’ (TOTY) on A State of Trance and has amassed more than 5 million streams on Spotify. In 2021 the duo repeated this feat, again winning the TOTY vote with their long-awaited collaboration with Armin Van Buuren, titled For All Time.
