Biography
Sander is the stage name used by Italian producer Alessandro Biriaco, who also records under the alias Ravekorr. As a composer, musician, producer and DJ, he embodies an artistic identity rooted in a strong musical upbringing.
The son of Bruno Biriaco, a drummer and percussionist notable for his work with Perigeo in the 1970s, Alessandro grew up surrounded by concerts, studio life and musical creation. These early memories led him to pursue a musical career from about the age of 15.
Trained in piano and composition—partly self-taught and partly with his father’s guidance—he developed a working method focused on melody and emotional communication. For vocal tracks he builds the musical idea and message first, then works on arrangement and style; for instrumental club productions he prioritizes structure and energy while preserving melodic identity.
He operates from a private studio, using PowerMac, Apple Logic Pro, Pro Tools TDM and synthesizers/samplers in the form of Audio Unit plugins. His artistic vision for dance music is to move people on the floor and to touch listeners emotionally, drawing inspiration from life, memories, dreams and fears.
Major compositional influences include Lucio Battisti and Burt Bacharach, while his arrangement approach is nourished by wide listening and a rave enthusiast’s instinct. He also cites appreciation for Depeche Mode, Moby, Manian, Pulsedriver and Scooter.
Throughout his career he has worked with various players and labels in the dance scene; the collaboration with Provenzano is highlighted as significant for learning the codes of the dance world. He also keeps ties with Stefy NRG and balances personal productions, collaborations and remixes. Notable works include the P_DJ remix of Go Go, Atmosphera and the Floorfilla remix of Kosmiklove.
Alongside studio work he developed a DJ and radio identity, hosting and mixing the show “Everybody Hands Up!” on Italian Dance Network, offering selections designed to be festive, energetic and pleasant to hear off the dancefloor.
