Ravekorr
Biography
Ravekorr is the pseudonym of Italian producer Alessandro Biriaco, also known as Sander. The project gathers his electronic productions, studio work and activities as a DJ/radio host, reflecting the different facets of his musical output.
Son of Bruno Biriaco, a drummer and percussionist notable for his work with Perigeo in the 1970s, he grew up surrounded by concerts and studio sessions that shaped his early musical memories.
Trained in piano and composition—partly self‑taught and partly with his father’s help—Sander chose a musical career around the age of 15. Progressive rock played a formative role in his development and, paradoxically, steered him toward club music, which became his main field of expression.
In the studio his method focuses on melody and emotion: for vocal tracks he builds the musical idea and message first, then proceeds to arrangement and style; for instrumental club productions he prioritizes structure and energy while preserving melodic identity. He works from a private studio using a PowerMac, Apple Logic Pro, Pro Tools TDM and synthesizers/samplers as Audio Units plug‑ins.
His vision of dance music is to make people dance while also touching listeners, drawing inspiration from life, memories, dreams, fears and human experience. He advocates for melodic, expressive and sincere club music.
Major references include Lucio Battisti and Burt Bacharach for composition; his arrangement and stylistic approach are fed by wide listening and a passion for rave. He also enjoys Depeche Mode, Moby, Manian, Pulsedriver and Scooter.
His collaboration with Provenzano was important for understanding dance scene codes; he also maintains artistic ties with Stefy NRG and pursues personal productions, collaborations and remixes. Notable works include the P_DJ remix of Go Go, Atmosphera and the Floorfilla remix of Kosmiklove.
Alongside studio work he developed a DJ and radio identity, having hosted and mixed the show Everybody Hands Up! on Italian Dance Network.
