Biography
Matei-Anton Aurel Eugen Ioan Florentin Vasiliu, born on 30 October 1984, is best known by his stage name Matteo. He is the performer and writer of the record hit Panama, with more than 7 million streams on Spotify.
A European dancehall and reggae artist, he is also a rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He founded and runs the Mattman Music label. Before his music career, he worked, among other roles, as a senior graphic designer and GFX video editor.
Born and raised in Bucharest, he began his music career by founding the Apocalipss Hip Hop Group with MC Bean. He later collaborated on production and mixtape projects with many Romanian pop artists, including Loredana Groza, Taraful din Clejani, Marius Moga, Alex Velea, Smiley, Connect-R, Uddi, Delia Matache, Lora, Anda Adam, Anna Lesko, Corina, Deepside Deejays, Claudia Pavel (aka Cream), Lidia Buble, 2americani, Keed, Super ED, and Rashid.
