Deepside Deejays

Deepside Deejays

Biography

Deepside Deejays is a Romanian house and electronic music project, born from four musicians’ desire to bring something new to the house scene. The group is made up of Nick Kamarera (DJ), Dave Pryce (keyboards), Victor de la Pena (vocals) and Vibearena (MC). The four artists had known each other for a long time and had already collaborated, but not in this specific lineup.

DJ Nick Kamarera has been a well-known figure since 1995, having started mixing in the clubs of Timișoara, a city considered a pioneer of house music in Romania. That experience enabled him to play alongside renowned national and international DJs. As a producer, he is recognized for his remixes of tracks such as Maleya, Sunrise 5 AM or At Night.

Dave Pryce, also known as Silviu Paduraru, is an accomplished composer, producer and remixer. Gifted for music from an early age, he studied piano and clarinet before continuing his education at the National Academy of Music in Bucharest. He has produced tracks that became national hits in Romania, as well as international hits like I'll Do You Like a Truck. His production range is broad, spanning house, electronic music, R&B, hip-hop, pop and dance.

Victor de la Pena, the group’s singer, is also a graduate of the piano department of the National Academy of Music in Bucharest. He studied all musical genres, worked as a vocal teacher, and produced for some of Romania’s most famous artists.

Finally, Vibearena is a respected producer in Romania, responsible for numerous singles that reached No. 1 on the charts. After studying audio engineering, he refined his skills in composition, mixing and mastering. He then developed his MC side by becoming a club MC, presenting new trends and interacting with the audience.

Aware of the potential they represented together, the four artists united under the name Deepside Deejays. Their international breakthrough came when they won a remix contest organized by Toolroom Records by remixing the renowned producer and DJ Dirty South. That victory propelled the Deepside Deejays project into a key reference point in international competitions.
