Carlprit

Biography

Carlprit, born Rudi Frank Harold Schwamborn, is a German-Zimbabwean artist.

He is the younger brother of rapper Metaphysics, a member of the group Söhne Mannheims. His music career began in the early 2000s after he moved to Germany. His first notable recording appearance dates back to 2003, on the track The Universe from his brother’s album Digital Garden.

Carlprit subsequently produced numerous unofficial remixes on mixtapes, distributed in his neighborhood of Wuppertal.

He is particularly known for his contribution to the international hit by Cascada, Evacuate the Dancefloor in 2009. The single sold over three million copies worldwide and reached the top 20 of the US Billboard chart. This collaboration made him the first person of Zimbabwean origin to chart at that level in the US.

Throughout his career, he has also collaborated and written for other artists such as Alexandra Stan and Laurent Wolf. Among his own tracks, Fiesta is one of his most recognized songs.

The artist also uses the aliases Riz Allah, Rudi Schwamborn, and Rudolf Schwamborn. His name has had several spelling variations, including Carl Prit, Carl Pritt, Carlpritt, and Kulpritt.
