Sarah Lynn

Biography

Sarah Lynn, born Sarah J. Lynn, is a singer, songwriter, and performer from Newtownards in the Belfast region of Northern Ireland.

Art and music have always been at the core of her existence, from her art school studies to writing songs and playing guitar from a young age. She began her career performing on the streets of Belfast and at small local events, accompanied by her acoustic guitar.

Her journey in electronic music truly began in early 2013 when she sent vocal demos to the Dutch producers Adrian & Raz. This collaboration led to her first track, Silhouette, on the Adrian Raz Recording label, a production that quickly defined her anchoring in the trance sound.

This debut release became an anthem in the genre, widely played by the biggest trance DJs, notably Armin Van Buuren who selected the Allen & Envy remix for his Universal Religion 7 album. The track was played from clubs in Ibiza to Buenos Aires, via London and New York.

Subsequently, Sarah Lynn collaborated with many established artists on the electronic scene such as Cosmic Gate, Jorn Van Deynhoven, Allen & Envy, and Philippe El Sisi. These collaborations, along with the ongoing work for her first album, also titled ‘Silhouette’, solidified her place as one of the most promising new voices in vocal trance.

With her distinct Irish vocal tones and often personal, emotionally charged lyrics, she draws from her own experiences and love for music. Her style sits primarily within the spectrum of electronic music, navigating between vocal trance and progressive trance, while having varied roots and influences.

She is often compared to and considered to be following in the footsteps of other Irish electronic vocalists like Audrey Gallagher and Neev Kennedy.
