Biography

Jay Frog, real name Jürgen Frosch, is a DJ and producer born on May 7, 1976 in Ludwigshafen and based in Hamburg.

His musical journey began with lessons that briefly led him to heavy metal, before he definitively turned to electronic music.

His career truly took off in the 1990s. A meeting with Chris Huelsbeck led to a partnership, and Jay Frog was quickly in demand for numerous remixes, working for artists such as Kosmonova, Ayla, Sash!, Yello, Sweetbox, La Bouche, Doug Laurent and Talla 2XLC.

Under his own name, the track Pushin’ became a dance chart success. His production I Won't Let You Down also reached the iTunes top 10.

As the scene evolved, his style shifted from trance to house, electro and tech house, with a tribal fusion that highlights his natural sense of rhythm. He is recognized for his ability to read and energize a crowd, establishing a total connection with his audience.

As a DJ, he has played at many major events like the Love Parade, Nature One, Airbeat One and Ruhr in Love. He has also performed internationally, notably in Taiwan, Japan, Africa, Russia, Dubai, the United States, Ibiza and across Europe.

He holds or has held residencies at clubs and on radio stations, including at H1 Hamburg, JJ Club in the UK and Germany, as well as on the airwaves of Sunshine Live, place2be, 54house.fm, Massive Trax radio on Slinky.fm and Dance Radio.

Alongside his solo work, he has been involved in several collaborative projects. One of the most notable is Master and Servant, formed with Gordon from the The Disco Boys. This studio and live project offers edgy, danceable electro, sometimes incorporating samples from classics like those by Depeche Mode.

His remixing activity remains very intense, with recent collaborations including Chuckie, Cidinho & Doca, Lissat & Voltaxx, Dominik De Leon, The Disco Boys, Matthias Menck & Jerry Ropero, Medina and Camisra.
