C-Base
Biography
C-Base is a German music project consisting of Jörn Oelschlägel, Christian Zikeli, and Tom Spier. It is also known under the names Budapest Pres C-Base, C Base, C. Base, C.Base, and CCC-Base.
Its origins date back to 1993 when Sebastian Schäch, aged 17, made his first DJ attempts at small parties. After coming of age in 1994, he gained experience in front of larger audiences. The regional breakthrough came in the following years as a resident for KBS Sound & Light, where he was responsible for the music every weekend for eight years, participating in major events and establishing important contacts.
Until 2001, C-Base performed in various Bavarian clubs before being regularly booked at the Break Out club (now Exit66) in Schweitenkirchen. His DJ career then took off: for three years, he played every Saturday at Break Out 2DAY with live broadcasts on Radio Galaxy and became a resident at renowned clubs like Universe in Wasserburg, Kingdom Parc in Mühldorf, and Bali in Eggenfelden.
In 2003, he made numerous radio appearances, including for the Blutonium Night Club on Welle1, and secured engagements in Austria and Baden-Württemberg. In 2004, he performed in Ibiza, at the Salzburg Exhibition Center alongside artists like Phats & Small and Tom Novy, for Radio Galaxy Ingolstadt, on the Dream Ship Enterprise in Deggendorf, and at the Beach Club of the Starnberg Berger marina.
In collaboration with the Munich studio F228 and Marc Aurel, C-Base began its first productions in 2003 and 2004. The single Trust your eyes was released in November 2004 on the BE52-Records label (distributed by Dance All Day) with remixes by Alex Megane and Bonito & Trooper.
The project’s musical style is associated with trance, euro trance, and dance.
