
Tom Novy
Biography
Tom Novy, born Thomas Reichold, is a German house DJ and producer born in 1970.
He also records under the aliases Thomas Reichold and Cosmic Soul (4).
His international breakthrough came in 1996 with the single Superstar, which reached number 15 in Germany and charted in other countries.
In 1998 his track I Rock became a house anthem and a commercial success.
The single Pumpin reached number 19 on the UK charts in 2000.
Later, his 2004 productions Your Body and Lovin U also gained worldwide attention.
Tom Novy is known for numerous remixes for other artists, notably Sonique on I Put a Spell on You, Lou Bega on Mambo #5, Tom Jones & Mousse T. on Sexbomb, the Backstreet Boys on The Call, and Snap! on Eternity.
He made history as the first German DJ to mix the British compilation « Ministry of Sound Annual », which enjoyed great success on the German and UK charts.
He also hosted several television programs in Germany dedicated to electronic music, such as « MTV Dance Floor Charts », « MTV Streetlife », « MTV – Battle of the DJs » in 2003 and the « Mac Chart Show » on Pro7 in 2004.
At the same time he hosted a weekly radio show on FFN and appeared on Radio Energy Munich and Radio Energy Stuttgart.
