Marc Aurel
Biography
Marc Aurel is a DJ and music producer who has been part of Munich’s scene for years.
Right after school, he began training as a sound engineer and soon opened his own recording studio in the heart of Munich.
His first success as a producer and DJ came quickly: his debut single reached high positions in the German-speaking Dance charts. By the age of 22, his releases had already been published in 25 countries. He played gigs across Germany, reached the top ten of the US and UK dance charts, and his music videos were aired on MTV and VIVA. On more than 2 million units sold, productions or remixes by Marc Aurel can be heard.
This exposure caught the attention of American film producers and directors: he received a small role in the independent movie “Hey DJ”, shot in Miami, and also contributed music to the soundtrack.
Over the years, he continued to develop musically and became one of Munich’s leading DJs. Over the last ten years, he proved himself as a resident in several well-known clubs in the city, including Baby, Heart, 8 Seasons, Milchbar, Parkcafe, Max Suite, 089 Bar, Pacha, and P1.
His experience also led to event work, with companies commissioning him for the musical production of their events, including O2, Sony-BMG, Porsche, BMW, Escada, Siemens, Käfer and Triumph.
He has also played sets at major international gatherings such as the Loveparade in Berlin, the Streetparade in Zurich, and the Winter Music Conference in Miami.
In recent years, Marc Aurel has composed music for advertising campaigns such as VW Cabrio and Maxdome, as well as for full TV shows, including the Grimme Award-winning show “Extreme Activity” on Pro7.
