Flip and Fill
Biography
Flip & Fill are an English Electronic dance music duo based in Manchester, made up of producer/remixers and DJs Graham Turner and Mark Hall.
Active since 1996, they have been releasing tracks since 2000 and are signed to their own label, Filtrate (after no longer being affiliated with AATW). They have also used the aliases Chapter One, Pascal and Booty Callers.
In March 2001, True Love Never Dies reached No. 34 in the UK singles chart. The track is built as a mash-up of Rank 1’s Airwave and True Love Never Dies, featuring re-recorded vocals by Kelly Llorenna. Remixed and re-released, it later climbed to No. 7 in February 2002.
Among the vocalists involved with the act, Karen Parry appears notably on Shooting Star, a 2002 UK No. 3 hit. Jo James also provided vocals on Field of Dreams and on a cover of Whitney Houston’s hit I Wanna Dance With Somebody.
Beyond their own releases, they produced a remix of Ayumi Hamasaki’s July 1st, tied to a release that peaked at No. 3 in Japan (Oricon). The band also recorded a cover of Pop!’s Heaven and Earth, which was not released as a single.
