Sash!
Biography
Sash! is a German dance and trance group formed in 1995, consisting of DJ Sascha Lappessen (who gave his name to the project), Thomas 'Alisson' Lüdke and Ralf Kappmeier.
Their career began with the singles It's My Life, Encore une fois and Ecuador. Their debut album, also titled It's My Life, was released in 1997 and includes these hits as well as the single Stay.
The following year, La Primavera, sung in Italian, achieved great success and was followed by Mysterious Times, marking the first collaboration with singer Tina Cousins.
The second album, Life Goes On, features Colour the World (with Dr. Alban) and Move Mania, as well as Adelante (sung in Spanish with Rodriguez, who already appeared on Ecuador) and the ballad Just Around the Hill, performed by Tina Cousins.
The third album, Trilenium, was released in 2000 and spawned the single With My Own Eyes; the same year the first best-of, Encore Une Fois-Greatest Hits, compiled their hits. A fourth album, S4!, came out in 2002 with tracks including Ganbareh, Run (in collaboration with Boy George) and I Believe.
In 2007, to celebrate ten years, the group released a new best-of, 10th Anniversary, and a reworked version of their hit, Ecuador 2007 Reloaded. In 2008, Raindrops, a modernized cover of Encore une fois, reached the UK Top 10.
In 2010 Sash! announced the single All Is Love and the album Life Is a Beach, followed shortly by Hello South Afrika, a collaboration with Dr. Alban inspired by the FIFA World Cup. The group’s sixth album, Life Changes, was released in November 2013.
