Biography

Xonia, real name Loredana Sachelaru, is a singer, songwriter, actress and dancer born on June 25, 1989 in Melbourne, Australia, who developed her career in Romania.

She began her music career at the age of eight in Australia and signed with a label at fourteen. She then worked in the studio, collaborating with industry figures such as Martin Jenkins from VHJ Music, Rob Davis (co-writer of Can't Get You Outta My Head), Brian Rawling (producer for Cher, Dannii Minogue), Doug Brady, Kevin Colbert and Brian Canham from Pseudo Echo.

In 2006, she was selected to represent Australia in the Miss Diaspora contest, performing in front of 20,000 spectators at the Callatis festival in Romania. Her talent impressed the Romanian entertainment industry, earning her television appearances and radio airplay.

In 2008, after being accepted to the Hollywood Pop Academy in Los Angeles – a school attended by artists like Janet Jackson, Ne-Yo or Rihanna – Xonia decided to work independently. She also toured in the United States for the Romanian community and recorded in New York.

Returning to Romania after another invitation to the Callatis festival, she signed a management contract to officially launch her music career in the country. She then worked on her album with renowned producers such as Marius Moga, George Hora, Mihai Ogasanu and Deepcentral.

Her musical style is associated with pop, dance, Europop and female vocals.
