Lasgo

Lasgo

Biography

Lasgo is a Belgian electronic music group formed in 2000; the name is derived from the city of Glasgow. The project was founded by Peter Luts, Dave McCullen and vocalist Evi Goffin.

The group achieved commercial success with the albums “Some Things” (2001) and “Far Away” (2005) and their singles, selling over five million units. They released a third album, “Smile”, in 2009.

The lineup experienced several changes of singer: Evi Goffin, vocalist on the first two albums, left in 2006 to focus on motherhood. In 2008 Peter Luts organized a televised search that led to Jelle Van Dael joining for the third album. The group has not officially split but has not released new material since 2013.

In 2023 Peter Luts continued to perform under the Lasgo name; in 2024 Nikki Born joined as the new vocalist and frontwoman.
