Julia Ross
Biography
Julia Ross is an artist, singer-songwriter, and creator in the purest sense. Her journey has taken her from the band Everlife to touring as a background vocalist and vocal arranger for artists such as Miley Cyrus, the Chainsmokers, Jordan Fisher, Ke$ha, and Carly Rae Jepsen, all while continuing her own path as a songwriter and solo artist.
Recently, she co-wrote two Billboard number-one albums, Map of the Soul: Persona and Map of the Soul: 7, by the group BTS. She has also performed on many prestigious platforms, including SNL, Jimmy Fallon, Ellen, the VMAs, EMAs, AMAs, the BBC Live Lounge, MTV Unplugged, and The Disney Channel.
She describes her approach to life and art with philosophy: “Artists can be eccentric, go off the beaten path, and be whatever they want. I’ve changed so much over my life… from being a nomad to a Disney star, then to living a normal life, in love, with a husband, a home, and a silver food processor, only to travel the world alone again. Whether heartbreak is holding my hand or it’s absolute happiness… I’m okay with the waves as long as I float with them.”
Her voice can be heard on many tracks, and her collaborative work totals more than 100 million streams on Spotify. Whether she’s an active artist herself or lending her talents as a performer and vocal producer to other projects, her artistic journey is only just beginning.
