Freischwimmer

Freischwimmer is a German DJ and production project from Frankfurt am Main, formed by DJs and producers Thomas Geier and Joachim Schäfer.

Their remake of the track California Dreamin’ marked their international breakthrough: on February 13, 2016 the single reached number one on the US Billboard Dance Songs chart, giving the classic its first Billboard No. 1 nearly 50 years after its creation. In Spain the song served as the official soundtrack for El Corte Inglés’s summer 2016 campaign, and it was later featured prominently in the second season of the hit series “Star Trek: Picard” (2022). The track exemplifies Freischwimmer’s signature sound — melodic, timeless, club-oriented, with a pop reach that extends beyond the electronic scene.

On stage, Freischwimmer performs on major platforms like World Club Dome in Frankfurt, in renowned clubs such as BCM and Bootshaus, and at world-renowned festivals like Tomorrowland Unite.

With over 100 million streams on Spotify, their productions are regularly supported by electronic heavyweights like Armin Van Buuren, Oliver Heldens and Tiësto.
