Double You

Double You

Biography

Double You is an Italian eurodance group founded in 1985 by William Naraine, Franco Amato and Andrea de Antoni.

Their worldwide success began in 1991 after meeting producer Roberto Zanetti: their first single, Please Don't Go, recorded in December 1991 and released in January 1992, became a dance-scene phenomenon, selling over three million copies and earning numerous gold and platinum records across Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia; it was the most danced song of 1992.

The second single, We All Need Love, recorded in June 1992, reached the top of international charts and preceded the debut album We All Need Love, which included Who's Fooling Who and Looking At My Girl, the latter achieving huge success in Brazil.

At the end of 1993 the band began recording their second album, The Blue Album. The singles — Missing You, Part Time Lover (a major hit in France and Germany), Heart of Glass (very popular in Spain and Eastern Europe) and Run to Me — led to their first North American tour in 1995.
