Biography
DJ San is the stage name of producer and DJ Sandor Jongerius, also known under the alias Sander Jongerius. Based in Amsterdam, he has long operated on the edges of trance and progressive.
Releasing under his own name “SAN” or through the “Solid Sessions” moniker, his productions have been played and featured on mix compilations by many DJs, from John Digweed to Sash!, from Richie Hawtin to Dubfire, as well as Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold and Pete Tong.
He has released music on labels such as Sony, Virgin, Universal, Armada, Blackhole, Afterglow and Bedrock, and has performed internationally at events including Sensation, Dance Valley, Tomorrowland and Creamfields. He has also held residencies in Ibiza, India, Dubai, Romania and Malta.
His remix work includes artists ranging from Calvin Harris to TQ, alongside Dash Berlin, Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Buuren. His original productions exceed 3 million sales worldwide and have topped national charts in 11 countries. He is also described as a multi‑platinum selling artist, an MTV award nominee, and associated with an “Essential Dance Tune”.
