Biography
Daniel Gabriel Alessandro Saucedo Grzechowski, known as Danny Saucedo or simply Danny, is a Swedish artist, singer and songwriter born on 25 February 1986 in Södermalm, Stockholm.
He began his music career by taking part in the Swedish 2006 edition of *Idol*, finishing sixth, then launched his solo career with the album *Heart Beats* and the singles Tokyo, Play It for the Girls and Radio, all of which reached number one on the Swedish charts.
He is also a member of the Swedish pop trio E.M.D., alongside Erik Segerstedt and Mattias Andréasson; the group released three albums and eight singles, including the album *A State of Mind* (May 2008) and the number-one singles All for Love, Jennie, Let me love you and Alone, and won a Grammis for Song of the Year 2008 with Jennie Let Me Love You.
He participated twice in Melodifestivalen, the Swedish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest: in 2009 E.M.D. finished third with Baby Goodbye, and in 2011, as a solo artist, Danny placed second with In the Club after winning the first semi-final; he also presented the Swedish votes at Eurovision 2011.
As a songwriter he has written for artists such as Alcazar and Tom Pulse; his third solo album, *In The Club*, was released on 11 March 2011. On television, he took part in *Let’s Dance* in 2008 and, in September 2008 with dancer Jeanette Carlsson, represented Sweden at the Eurovision Dance Contest 2008, where the pair finished 12th.
