Tom Pulse
Biography
Tom Pulse is a German house DJ and producer whose real name is Thomas Scheffler. Originally from Krefeld and based in Düsseldorf, he has been active in the dance industry for more than a decade under various project names before definitively adopting the Tom Pulse moniker in 2007.
His career under that name got off to a strong start: his first release was a collaboration with Sydney Youngblood on Kontor Records, which entered the Top 80 of the German charts right away. He then enjoyed notable success in Scandinavia with his single Cuando (floresca el chuno), billed as the summer hit of 2010 in the region, reaching the Top 30 in sales and receiving heavy radio airplay.
Soon after, he teamed up with Spaniards Fino and Gabriel to reinterpret Taka Taka, a popular theme originating in France and associated with Jean Kluger. The track—covered multiple times since the 1970s with chart success in France—was given a new summer version by Tom Pulse in August 2010.
