BK Duke

Biography

BK Duke, born Chris Sauer, is a German disc jockey and producer specializing in house music. He began mixing vinyl at school parties and small events; at eighteen he became the resident DJ at Club California in Munich, and his initial passion for funk and soul gradually shifted toward house in the 1980s.

After many years on the house scene and performances at major snowboard events in Austria, Switzerland and Germany, he opened his own house club in Nuremberg in 1997. His profile rose on New Year’s Eve 2000 when he mixed in front of thousands at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, which led to a TV appearance on ARD and later to annual concerts for Ikea in Nuremberg that also drew over ten thousand people.
As a renowned DJ he has performed for brands such as Escada, Laurel, InStyle Magazine and Patek Philippe, as well as for personalities including David Coulthard, Mick Hucknall of Simply Red, and at Vladimir Klitschko’s birthday.

In 2005 he founded his own label, Diamondhouse Records. In recent years he has toured the globe with his DJ team “Electric Blaze” and his live project “Treasure Room”. His discography contains more than one hundred original tracks and remixes for artists like Chris Lake, Bob Sinclar, Milk & Sugar, JCA, Barbara Tucker, Bongoloverz and Major Boys. His productions include the track 4 O'Clock (In the Morning) (Klaas Mix), released in 2019. He also produces for “Treasure Room” and collaborates on numerous productions for other DJs.

His career has taken him to prestigious venues such as the Republic Café in Salzburg, Le Traxx in Rouen, the VIP Room in Saint‑Tropez, Dreams in Athens, Blue Moon in Corsica, Pacha in Munich, Puka Naka in Bolzano, Mach 1 in Nuremberg, 8 Seasons in Munich, the Palais in Munich, Chili Club in Hamburg and the Frankfurter Botschaft in Frankfurt.
His mixes have also been broadcast on notable shows and stations, including Release Yourself by Roger Sanchez, Hed Kandi by David Dunne, Housepacific by Christian Hornbostel, as well as on Ibiza Global Radio, Maxima FM (Spain), XM Radio in Miami, Urban @ Radio Peckham in London, N‑Joy Radio/NDR and Big City Beats on Big FM in Germany.
