Alan Braxe
Biography
The name Alan Braxe is synonymous with the development of the French music scene. He stands out as a pioneer of electronic music, thanks to a unique ability to prioritize melody, and his sound embodies the mythical “French Touch”.
In 1997, the track “Vertigo” was released on the legendary label Roulé. One year later, in collaboration with Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk and with Benjamin Diamond on vocals, Music Sounds Better With You was born. It was an international success, staying at the top of the charts for weeks. Accompanied by a remarkable music video directed by Michel Gondry, it remains an anthem as important today as it was at its inception.
Major artists then sought Alan Braxe’s unique style for their own projects. His remixes for artists like Björk, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Jamiroquai, or Beyoncé elevated his profile as a remixer to new heights.
Braxe then focused his energy on building his label “Vulture Music” and pushing his own musical boundaries. After being approached by hip-hop MC Killa Kela to write and produce, he showed the diversity of his musical interests.
The key to Alan and Vulture’s success lies in the ability to create a new path, not to follow a mapped-out route. Vulture offered a futuristic, open, and musically free space to diverse and talented artists such as Lifelike, Kris Menace, and Fred Falke to write and produce some of their best works.
This period saw the release of highly acclaimed tracks, like “Chrystal City”, “Running”, “Discopolis”, and another classic anthem for Braxe, “Intro”.
When not touring the world as an international DJ, Alan Braxe runs his expanding label “Vulture Music” and supports some of the freshest and most exciting artists. He is constantly searching for music that challenges our perceptions and opens our ears.
Artists like Das Glow, Fenech Soler, and the latest to join Vulture, the exceptional Swedish idyllic duo Pacific!, are all part of Alan’s vision to develop music that speaks for Vulture and, above all, for itself.
