Biography
Adela Popescu (born Adela Elena Popescu on 8 October 1986 in Șușani, Vâlcea County, Romania) is a Romanian actress and singer. She became widely known thanks to the telenovela “Numai Iubirea”. Early in her career, she had a highly publicized relationship with actor Dan Bordeianu.
While filming the series “Lacrimi de iubire”, she also recorded her first music album, also titled “Lacrimi de iubire”, described as slow pop with dance and Latin influences. Since 2005, she has been the lead in Romanian productions broadcast on Acasă, including “Lacrimi de iubire” (2005), “Iubire ca în filme” (2006), “Îngerașii” (2008) and “Aniela” (2009). In 2010 she played her first antagonistic role in the telenovela “Iubire și Onoare”, and from 2011 she played a teacher in the musical series “Pariu cu viața”.
At the end of 2011, she joined the group DJ Project, replacing Giulia Anghelescu. In 2016, she joined Pro TV as the new host of the talk show “Vorbește lumea”, alongside Gabriel Coveșeanu. In 2021, she gave birth to a boy and was replaced during that period by Lora.
