Biography
Sunbeam is a German electronic music project formed by the duo Florian Preis and Michael Gerlach.
The project has been active since the early 1990s and is primarily associated with the trance and hard trance genres. Their first notable success is the track Outside World, released in May 1994, which was very successful in clubs across Europe.
Other singles followed, such as Arms Of Heaven and Dreams. The duo is also known for being part of the Trance Allstars, a formation that includes other artists like DJ Taucher, Talla 2XLC, ATB, DJ Mellow-D, and Schiller.
Under the name Sunbeam, the duo notably released the track One Minute in Heaven in 2001. The project experienced a period of inactivity during which Florian Preis and Michael Gerlach focused on other collaborations, such as on the tracks Drop Into Me and My Secrets or Ultimate Temptation.
The duo is also active under several aliases and side projects, including Chrome & Price, Iron Wobble, System Faith, Pete Plastic, and Priceless. The project is sometimes referenced under name variations like DJ Sunbeam, Sun Beam, Sunbeam DJ Team, Sunbean, or Sundbeam.
