Biography

Timotheus Romme, born March 23, 1987 in Amsterdam, is a Dutch DJ, producer, and songwriter known as MOTi, also using the alias Timo Romme. He works notably in electro house and future house.

Across his career, MOTi has surpassed 2 billion streams and has appeared at major festivals worldwide, including Ultra Music Festival, EDC, Tomorrowland, Balaton Sound, and Creamfields.

He has collaborated with artists such as Tiësto, Major Lazer, and Martin Garrix. With Martin Garrix, the track Virus (How About Now) reached No. 27 on the Dutch Single Top 100 and hit No. 1 on Beatport.

MOTi has also worked with Ty Dolla $ign. In addition, he has delivered many production remixes for global artists including Onerepublic, Ava Max, Jason Derulo, Selena Gomez, DJ Snake, P!nk, and Diana Ross.

His accolades include a No. 1 dance record on US radio with “In My Head (On My Mind),” alongside multiple gold and platinum awards worldwide.

In 2018, he launched his own label, Zero Cool Records, which reached 100 million streams within its first year.
