Biography
Jason Derulo, born Jason Joel Desrouleaux, is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer of Haitian descent, born on September 21, 1989, in Miramar, Florida.
His solo career began in 2009. He has sold over 30 million singles and achieved eleven Platinum-certified singles, including Whatcha Say, In My Head, Talk Dirty, and Wiggle.
Before launching his solo career, he produced and wrote songs for artists such as Birdman, Lil Wayne, and rapper Diddy.
Signed to Beluga Heights (Warner Music Group), his debut single, Whatcha Say (May 2009), sold over five million digital copies, was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA, and reached number one in the United States and New Zealand.
His second single, In My Head, was released in December 2009, followed by his self-titled debut studio album on March 2, 2010.
His second album, *Future History*, was released on September 16, 2011, preceded by the UK number-one single Don't Wanna Go Home.
His third international album, *Tattoos*, was released on September 24, 2013. It was later re-released as *Talk Dirty* for the American market on April 15, 2014.
In 2015, he released the single Want to Want Me and announced his fourth studio album, *Everything Is 4*, which was released on June 2, 2015. His following album, *2Sides*, was planned for 2018.
He is also known by the names Jason Desrouleaux, Derulo, J. Derulo, Jason DeRulo, Jason Derulö, or Jason Derülo.
