Biography

Jenna Donnelly is a songwriter, lyricist and musician described as a platinum-selling writer. She began her music training on piano, cello and voice, and has been writing and producing commercially released work for over a decade.

Her credits span worldwide chart-topping songs for major-label artists, music for primetime television shows, and critically acclaimed musicals. She is signed to Galactic Music and Peer Music, and is a member of production house Audiofreaks. She is also one half of Donnelly & Maltby, with works published by Theatrical Rights Worldwide.

As a vocalist, she appears on I Feel You, a collaboration with DJ San released as the second single from the Dutch DJ’s Sony Netherlands debut album. She also wrote a topline for Nikki Ponte on a DJ San collaboration for Sony Greece. Chart-related releases mentioned alongside her work include Caught In The Storm (Top 10 Dance UK), Superhuman (Top 10 Dance UK), Into My Arms with Jose (No. 1 Traxsource Chart), and Taking Me Over with Laurent Delkiet (Top 10 Beatport).

She co-wrote a track with Drew Porter that reached No. 2 on the Music Week Commercial Pop Chart, and her production on a “Candlelight” version became a hit with DJs across the UK. She wrote Why Can't This Be Love with Finland’s Hermanni Kovalainen and Ilkka Wirtanen for American artist Kim Sozzi; it was remixed by Manny Martinez a.k.a. Dark Intensity and received notable airplay across the United States.

Other projects cited include a cover of Everyday (with Stereojackers and Mark Loverush) supported by Annie Nightingale (BBC Radio 1), Danny Lee, Wideboys, Charlie Hedges (Kiss 100) and Adam Turner (Jemm1 Radio). She is also associated with Stay The Night, released on label Zyx. In 2013, a collaboration involving Canadian writer Ava Kay and New Zealand writer/producer Craig McKenzie was recorded by Japanese boyband Amanda Lear and reached No. 5 on the national Oricon chart.

She wrote an original song for Ethan Lewis Maltby’s Christmas album Christmas Symphonica, released in December 2013. She also features on Stereojackers’ collection of classic dance tracks, and played piano on a release by Bassmonkeys featuring Danish singer Lyck. Her career includes writing and/or performing on major-label releases for Sony, Virgin and Warner, alongside work with pop and dance artists and music-based TV shows (ITV, The Voice).

Artists she has worked with include The Wanted, Alesha Dixon, Liberty X, Atomic Kitten, 5ive, The Honeyz, Eternal, A1, Damage and BriBry.
