Biography

Bassmonkeys is a Norwich-based trio of producers and DJs consisting of Dale Askew, Danny Bond, and Mike Chenery. Their music spans house, pop, and electro genres.

The group has established itself as a top-tier production team and highly respected DJ act. In 2007, they reached number one on the Music Week chart with their remix of the anthem Shame Shame Shame. Their single The Answer reached number three, receiving widespread support from artists like the Freemasons, the Trophy Twins, and Mark Doyle.

The year 2008 looked promising with no fewer than five of their productions featured on the Fierce Angels compilation Fierce Disco II, three singles scheduled for summer release, and collaborations in the works with vocalists Andrea Britton, Tara McDonald, Amanda Wilson, and Abigail Bailey.

Their growing reputation made them a highly sought-after remix team, having completed over thirty remixes for international artists. The group is also known under the variations BM, Bass Monkes, Bass Monkey, Bassmonkey, Bassmonkey’s, and The Bassmonkeys.
