Biography

Mark Sixma (born Mark Frederik Sixma) is a Dutch Trance DJ and producer, born on 23 February 1983.
Originally from Breda, the hometown of Tiësto, he developed an interest in the genre and began his DJ career at school parties and at the local club Spock.

His classical piano training proved valuable when he moved into production.
He released an EP under the name Project 6 on Five AM Records, then scored his first major success under his alias M6 with Destination 6.
The track was voted Tune of the Week on A State Of Trance, hosted by Armin Van Buuren, who went on to support him regularly by featuring his productions on his annual compilations and commissioning him to remix Minack.

His music—primarily Trance in its Progressive Trance, Uplifting Trance and Tech Trance forms—has been released on renowned labels such as Armada, Blackhole, Spinnin’, High Contrast and Flashover.
It is regularly played by major electronic music figures including Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Paul Van Dyk, Above and Beyond, Sander van Doorn and Judge Jules.

As a DJ, Mark Sixma has performed worldwide, touring India, Brazil, Russia, Italy, the United Kingdom and Belgium, and appearing at events such as ASOT 550 in the Netherlands.
He also hosts a monthly radio show titled Solid Sounds, broadcast on multiple stations in the United States, Greece, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Germany.

He released his album The World of Six in March 2020, continuing an active career of original productions, remixes and performances.
