Biography

Faydee, born Fady Fatrouni, is an artist, singer-songwriter and producer from Sydney, Australia. An independent artist under the Buckle Up Entertainment label, he writes, produces and records his own material, building a strong reputation for the quality and originality of his music.

His distinctive blend of pop, dance and RnB led him to open for many international headliners touring Australia, including Jay Sean, Lloyd, Amr Diab, Omarion, Dru Hill and The Game. His songwriting has also been recognized, resulting in an invitation to Los Angeles in 2012 to collaborate with major artists, producers and songwriters.

His commercial breakthrough began in late 2011 with the summer hit Say My Name, widely played on national stations such as Nova and reaching No. 1 on The Edge 96.1 charts. That same year, the electro track Psycho opened the door internationally, receiving airplay in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

In 2013, his single Laugh Till You Cry topped Romania’s airplay charts, staying at No. 1 for six consecutive weeks and becoming one of the country’s most-played songs. The success led to a tour of Romania, with sold-out venues in more than 15 cities, and a performance in front of over 30,000 people at the Media Music Awards. He was also booked for Germany’s Glamotion festival alongside artists such as Inna, Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, Avicii and Fedde le Grand. The music video gained over 12 million views in six months.

He later released Unbreakable, a personal song addressing school bullying, which led to him becoming the national ambassador for the Bully Free Australia Foundation.

More recently, his single Can't Let Go reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top 100 in Romania and Greece, while continuing to receive heavy radio and club play across Europe, positioning it as his biggest success to date.
