Gryffin

Biography

Gryffin, born Dan Griffith, is a producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist based in New York.

He became known for a melodic house style that skillfully blends indie and dance.

His breakthrough came from a series of widely popular remixes, such as Talking Body by Tove Lo, Animals by Maroon 5, and Desire by Years & Years, which regularly reached No.1 on the Hype Machine charts and accumulated hundreds of millions of streams online.

Trained initially in classical piano, he later learned guitar; at the University of Southern California he dove into music production, gradually refining his craft.

Unlike many DJs in his scene, Gryffin favors live performance: he unveiled his first live show at the SnowGlobe Music Festival, combining guitar, keyboards, synths, and drum pads in a continuous set to retain the energy of a DJ set while bringing instrumental playing.

His first original single, Heading Home featuring Josef Salvat, was released on Darkroom/Interscope Records. The track went viral immediately, reaching No.1 on the Spotify Global Viral 50 and the US Viral Chart, with over one million streams in a week.
