Biography
Alok, full name Alok Achkar Peres Petrillo, is a Brazilian musician, DJ and producer born on August 26, 1991.
He is particularly known for his single Hear Me Now. In 2021 he was ranked the 4th best DJ in the world by DJ Mag, the highest position ever reached by a Brazilian in that ranking.
He has become one of the leading figures of the Brazilian electronic scene, receiving honors such as “Best DJ of Brazil” from House Mag in 2014 and 2015, and was named by Forbes Brasil in 2017 as one of the country’s most influential people under 30.
In July 2019 he launched his own label, Controversia Records, a sub-label of Spinnin’ Records.
