Mike Wind
Biography
Mike Wind, born Tomasz Laskowski in 1989 in Łomża, Poland, became fascinated by electronic sound and began his musical journey in 2003.
He quickly collaborated with various Polish and international producers, leading to his productions appearing on compilations across Europe and to a vinyl release on the Austrian label Trak Music. The year 2006 was a milestone: he co-founded a booking agency and performed at Escape Festival 2006 alongside artists such as Ron Van Den Beuken and E-Craig, then undertook a two-day tour in Estonia.
Under the pseudonym Staircase, he released the track Oxygen Essential on the Polish label JPlanet Entertainment / My Music. The track became the anthem of the Oxygen Agency and received wide support: it was chosen as a Future Favourite by Armin Van Buuren on his show A State Of Trance (episode 298) and played by Markus Schulz on his Global DJ Broadcast. It was also played by 4 Strings and supported by other artists such as Sean Tyas, Aly & Fila and Orjan Nilsen.
In 2007 he played at Revolution 2007 supporting artists like Johan Gielen, Richard Durand and Leon Bolier. He then joined the agency MSM Bookings and took part in their summer event cycle. At the end of 2007 he opened the 3rd edition of ATB In Concert for ATB and Super8 & Tab, and performed at the major New Year event I Love New Year in Wrocław alongside Marco V, Kyau & Albert and Ronski Speed, among others.
In 2009 he co-founded the digital Trance label Emphase Recordings with Arctic Moon (Tomasz Popielarski), with whom he had previously collaborated as Mike Wind vs. East-NRG System. He ended his career in Trance music in 2012.
