Beam
Biography
Beam is the stage name of German trance and hands up producer Michael Urgacz, from Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Active on the electronic scene, he also collaborated on the projects Beam vs. Cyrus and Beam & Yanou. Michael Urgacz died of cancer on 19 July 2022.
The name is also shared by several other artists: a Jamaican rapper raised in Miami; a group formed around French artist Hélène Renaut in San Francisco; a Dutch rock/pop band (1997-2003); a South African band; a German emocore band from Bonn; a New Zealand alternative band; and a Mexican rapper.
