Biography
ZHANGYE is a Chinese electronic music producer, DJ, and composer associated with Edm. Regarded as an influential figure in China’s electronic scene, he founded Cyanhill Music and serves as the driving force behind the CHINA EDM project, bringing together leading and emerging Chinese DJs and producers to help shape a new era of the country’s electronic dance music.
A graduate of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, he combines classical training with experience from the commercial world. He is also the founder and CEO of Cyanhill Capital, a venture capital firm.
His music spans styles including Dance, House, and Electropop. He often acts as the primary creative force (lead artist) in collaborations with international artists such as Bassjackers, Ummet Ozcan, Zhou Shen, and Janieck Devy.
In 2024, ZHANGYE and Cyanhill Music launched CHINA EDM. The debut compilation, CHINA EDM Vol. 1, was nominated for Best Electronic Album at the 2024 TME Wave Music Awards, and its standout single Rather Lie won Best Electronic Song of 2024.
