Biography
Born in Turin on 28 May 1972, Viviana Presutti began singing at an early age and studied piano from age 6 to 17. Her music career truly took off in October 1993 when she joined Bliss Co. Studios, where she met Simone Pastore and began collaborating with him.
She then became a backing vocalist for numerous projects on the Italian dance scene, including Da Blitz, Soundlab, Vandana, CPU, Blyzart, La Fortuna, and Sangwara on the track Don't Speak. She can also be heard on productions by Funktastika, Da Vinci (Goin All The Way), 2 In Paradise (Can't You Forgive Me, I Call You), Prezioso (Anybody Anyway, Don't Stop) and Ellektronika (Get It On). She also provided backing vocals on most Bliss Team singles.
Among her sometimes uncredited contributions are tracks such as Go! (1994), Spending All My Time (1997), Killing Me Softly (1996), and Rain And Tears (B-side, 1997).
In 1997, she left Bliss Corporation to focus on writing and recording new material. That same year, she joined the project Insomnia, a live covers band specializing in 1970s funk, RnB, and disco, with whom she recorded several demos such as Gaia and Twisted.
In 2004, under the pseudonym Vivian B., she reunited with Simone Pastore to found the project D.B. Reloaded, whose first single was titled Revenge. In parallel, she began working as a vocal coach starting in 2002.
The 2010s were marked by many collaborations. She appears on tracks by Dj ThunderStorm (She's My Only), Alex Raimondi (Be As One), Fabio Selection (Promises, Anima nell'anima), as well as on several productions by Alien Cut & Dino Brown (Call Me Up, Love Me Boy, It's Party Time).
In 2015, she launched her solo career under the name Vivian B. with the single Falesia, followed by Mexico and a cover of L'Amour toujours. She continued with songs such as Vivi nell'aria (2016) and Real Kick (2017).
More recently, she collaborated with DJ Hermann on Look Out (2021) and, in 2023, released a new version of Da Blitz‘s classic Stay With Me with Panico and Mauro May. She is also occasionally invited to perform Da Blitz songs at events dedicated to the 1990s.
Outside of music, Viviana Presutti is a cat lover and a fan of Westies, and she owns two. In 2017, she published a teaching book titled “Voce strumento interiore, metodo crossover di canto moderno”. Her main vocal influences are Cher, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner.
