
Tom Boxer
Biography
Tom Boxer, born Cosmin Simionică, is a Romanian singer, DJ, producer and composer, born on 6 January 1977 in Craiova.
Before discovering composition, he began playing guitar at the age of five.
He worked as a DJ for several radio stations in Craiova and Bucharest.
To learn how to create club music he left his native country in 2000 to settle in London, where he worked as a DJ and audio producer for Plastik Fantastik.
He became known in Romania in 2004 with the release of the album “Caciula P-o Ureche”.
On his return he published the album “Zamorena”, recorded with jazz singer Anca Parghel, which contains ten house and dance tracks and three remixes.
His next album, released in 2009, features reggae mixes.
Tom Boxer is famous for his successful dance singles “Morena” and especially “Brasil”.
The single “Brasil” enjoyed great success in Eastern Europe, spending four weeks at number one in Romania and also becoming a hit in Moldova, Russia and Bulgaria.
The music video for the song was shot in Rio de Janeiro.
