Starkillers

Biography

Starkillers is a house project led by producer and DJ Nick Terranova, based in Salt Lake City. The project is also known under the names Starkillers, Starkillers, Starkillers, Starkillers, Starkillers, and Starkillers.

Nick Terranova also operates under several aliases, including DJ Terranova, Nick Touch, HI_LO, After Touch (3), Pimp Rockers, Disco Dollies, and The Wulf. He runs the label Terratraxx, founded in 2002.

The first production under the Starkillers pseudonym, the track Discoteka, was a massive success, peaking at the top of the Billboard Dance and Beatport charts. It was named an “Essential Selection” on Pete Tong’s BBC1 radio show and was nominated for Best Underground Track at the IDMAs, receiving support from many major DJs.

Terranova is recognized for his blend of catchy vocals, powerful basslines, and an eclectic palette, qualities that define his live performances during his “Dirty Sound” residencies in clubs in Las Vegas, Chicago, Dallas, San Diego, Detroit, and San Antonio. This energy and sensuality are also reflected in his work as a producer and remixer.

He has produced an impressive number of original productions and remixes under his own name and his pseudonyms. Notable remixes include Rapture by iiO, Stand Back by Stevie Nicks, Sex & Money by Paul Oakenfold, 8 Letters by Holmes & Ives, and Rock to the Rhythm by DJ Dan.

His collaboration with producer Austin Leeds has been particularly fruitful. The duo Terranova & Austin Leeds produced a series of hits like Shake Me, Rock Me, For the Pills, Only You, Dirty Sound, and Acid Disco. They also remixed My World by Dario Nunez and This Machine by Dave Spoon. Their chemistry is also expressed on stage during “Starkillers vs. Austin Leeds” events worldwide.
